The Land Cruiser series has been loved by people all over the world since the first model was sold in 1951.

This is a source of pride for us Japanese.

When it was first launched, the vehicle was planned for what is now called the Self-Defense Forces’ vehicles.

But, the “Mitsubishi Jeep” was adopted, despite its high performance at the time.

The Toyota Jeep began mass production in 1953 for general household use.

The following year, the name “Jeep” was registered as a trademark, and in June 1954, the name was changed to “Land Cruiser” and the Land Cruiser was born.

This year is the year of the “70th Anniversary of the Land Cruiser.

Since the launch of the first Toyota Jeep, the cumulative global sales volume through 2019 has exceeded 10 million units.

The best performing vehicle in this history is the 300 Series Land Cruiser.
